Privacy Policy
This explains what information PanelWeaver collects, how we use it, when we share it, and the practical limits that apply to AI generation, analytics, session replay, public sharing, and paper print orders.

1. Who We Are
PanelWeaver is operated by Okpe Oluwa, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, located at 1111B S Governors Ave STE 40047, Dover, DE 19904 US. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain information in connection with the PanelWeaver website, app, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
Payment card details are processed entirely by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card records ourselves. We collect:
- Account data: Name, email address, Google account profile image URL when provided, OAuth provider identifiers such as your Google account ID, and session identifiers or session metadata needed to authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- User content: Stories, prompts, entity descriptions, uploaded reference images (which may include photos of real people), generated comics, page revision prompts, and project metadata.
- Print-order data: Recipient name, shipping address, phone number, recipient tax ID when required for shipping, order status, shipping options, and tracking information.
- Transaction data: Purchased plans, credit balances, referral rewards, bonus credits, and order or payment event logs.
- Usage and technical data: Device information, browser data, request logs, error data, and analytics events.
- Referral and attribution data: Invite-link parameters and related cookies used to attribute signups and first-purchase rewards.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve PanelWeaver.
- Generate comics via our AI pipelines, store project assets, support downloads, and enable public sharing or gallery features.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, investigate fraud, and protect accounts and the service.
- Review flagged or reported content, enforce safety policies, and respond to abuse, compliance, or legal requests.
- Process credit purchases, referral rewards, refunds, and paper print orders.
- Send transactional messages such as account notices, print-order updates, support communications, and policy notices.
- Measure product performance, reliability, moderation outcomes, and business operations.
We do not use your private user content or uploaded reference photos to train our foundational AI models.
No Biometric Identification: While you may upload reference photos of faces to guide character generation, PanelWeaver is not designed to identify individuals or create biometric templates, and we do not intentionally extract or retain biometric identifiers from those uploads.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information to third-party service providers only when needed to operate the service, complete a transaction, comply with the law, or protect people and the platform:
- AI Providers: We pass your prompts and uploaded reference images to third-party AI APIs, currently Google Gemini, to generate your comic panels. These API providers are contractually restricted from using your data to train their foundational models.
- Authentication and communications: Google (for SSO) and Resend (for emails and magic links). If you sign in with Google, we use the account data returned by Google solely to authenticate you, create or link your PanelWeaver account, and maintain your session.
- Payment and billing: Stripe.
- Hosting, storage, and infrastructure: Cloudflare (for our R2 image buckets and CDN) and related vendors.
- Print, fulfillment, and logistics: Lulu and their shipping partners, strictly when you request a physical paper print order.
- Analytics and Product Observability: PostHog (see Section 7).
- Legal/Safety: Legal, compliance, or safety recipients when disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. Public, Unlisted, and Private Projects
If you set a project to PUBLIC, it may appear in the public gallery and be accessible to anyone. If you set a project to UNLISTED, it may still be accessible to anyone who has the link. Content that is publicly shared or link-accessible should be treated as viewable by others.
Underlying image assets, such as uploaded reference photos and generated comic pages, are hosted through randomized, unguessable public URLs and CDN paths. PRIVATE projects are hidden from public app surfaces, but anyone who obtains a direct asset URL may be able to view that asset.
Even when a project is intended to remain private, PanelWeaver is not designed as a secure storage vault for highly sensitive, confidential, or regulated personal data. Do not upload that kind of material.
6. Paper Print Orders
When you place a paper print order, we use the order and shipping data you provide to quote, submit, fulfill, track, support, and refund that order. This can include a recipient tax ID when required by the destination country. We share the necessary order data with printing (Lulu) and shipping providers. Shipping timelines and tracking updates are supplied by third parties. We may retain order and vendor event data for customer support, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Session Replays
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, referral attribution, and core product functionality.
- Analytics and Session Replay: We use tools like PostHog to understand user behavior and fix bugs. This includes analytics events and, when session replay is enabled, replay technologies that may record your interactions with the app, such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and interactions with form fields.
- Referral Attribution: We use first-party cookies and similar tracking mechanisms to attribute referral links, signup bonuses, and first-purchase referral rewards.
- Sensitive Print-Order Fields: We configure session replay tools to avoid capturing the contents of print-order shipping, contact, and tax-ID fields, including the submitted values shown later in the app.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service.
- Generated Artifact Retention: Our standard product policy is to retain generated comic book artifacts for up to five (5) years for product, legal, and operational hygiene. Before potential routine deletion of accessible generated artifacts, we will use reasonable efforts to notify affected users and provide a reasonable opportunity to export or download the affected comic assets, unless legal, safety, abuse-prevention, security, or operational constraints require otherwise.
- Soft vs. Hard Deletion: When you delete a project in the app, it is immediately hidden from your account and public surfaces. Underlying assets such as uploaded reference photos and generated images may remain on our storage systems or CDN infrastructure until we perform periodic system-wide purges or other operational cleanup work. Do not upload highly sensitive data expecting immediate, permanent destruction.
- Some records (transaction logs, fraud-prevention records, moderation records, and legal compliance records) may be retained longer where necessary to comply with legal and accounting obligations.
9. International Data Transfers
PanelWeaver and many of our third-party providers are primarily located in the United States. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws than your home country.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You can update certain account details from within the app. You may also contact us to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data. We will honor these requests subject to any legal or legitimate business retention requirements (e.g., keeping payment records for tax purposes).
12. Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We do not sell your personal data for monetary value.
13. Age Requirements
PanelWeaver is strictly for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information and terminate the account.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and provide additional notice where appropriate (such as via email or an in-app notification).
15. Contact
